Sand Storage Hopper is used to store molding sand in sand processing system of LFC, providing molding sand for molding. The lower part is matched with shower sand feeder or simple sand feeding device, and is used for molding sand storage and moulding in LFC production.

In LFC black area, the sand storage hopper is used to store molding sand and continuously supply sand to the molding station. It is usually installed above or near the shower sand feeder, providing stable “bottom sand” and “cover sand” for the sandbox, and connecting to the sand processing system for circulation and cooling.

Buffer capacity: the effective volume is selected based on the line’s cycle time and sand consumption. For stable operation, the hopper capacity should ensure at least 10–20 minutes of molding sand buffer time to smooth out upstream fluctuations (screening, cooling, return sand).
Sand quality protection: the inner wall can be equipped with wear-resistant lining (especially in the cone) to resist abrasion and impact from sand flow, extending service life and keeping sand clean.
Anti-bridging design: the cone angle and discharge openings are optimized for dry sand; if necessary, pneumatic arch breakers or vibrators can be added to prevent bridging and ensure smooth discharge.
Interface with sand processing: the hopper can be integrated with RUIOU sand process system (cooling, magnetic separation, screening, conveying) to form a closed-loop black area sand system with minimal sand loss and stable sand temperature.
